How long have you lived in the U.K.?

I have lived in the U.K. 7 months.

Why did you move to the U.K.?

I moved here because I thought there would be more job opportunities.

What does your family think about you living in the U.K.?

I used to live in Australia and Russia, so they're happier I'm closer to them.

As a European, what's it like living in the U.K.?

Right now I'm still learning English and getting used to the culture, so it's difficult. Before I came to the U.K. I thought there would be a lot of job opportunities, but I didn't realise how competitive it would be. You either need to be really prepared, or have good contacts, or both.

What do you dislike about living in the U.K.?

The weather.

What do you think about Brexit?

I think it’s a bad idea, but I’m not really worried because I don’t think it’s going to affect me. I studied history of art at university and I can’t find anything related to that here, so I’m thinking about leaving soon.

Will you stay in the U.K. after the Brexit transition period?

If I get my dream job, of if I find the love of my life, then I will stay.

What would you like people who voted Brexit to know?

I’d like them to know that I’m not stealing anyone’s job. I pay my taxes, I have a degree, and I speak many languages. I think Europeans are giving life and colour to this country. I hope they don’t want to kick all of us out, because they are going to miss our food.
